Doodles #6

In summer I always automatically become lazy and uninspired for a month, so I have had a bit of a break with this website. Now that the inspiration has returned I’ve decided to post a number of doodles I’ve made during the summer. While I doodled I was listening to an audio book  “Kingkiller Chronicles” by Patrick Rothfuss, so I found it really helped me zone out and not think too much about what I was doing with the pen. Now that I have to wait a while for the third book to come out I have no clue what to listen to next, my doodles have become way too over thought out, if anyone has any recommendations leave a comment.

As you may be able to tell these are all drawn with felt tip pen and a brush pen. I’m not describing them, as they were all technically drawn by my subconscious. Let me know what you think!

I will post the rest of them soon.

Mandalas

I’ve been way too busy to draw and post regularly, so here are a few mandalas I made a few months ago. I will get back into posting more often in a week. Making mandalas is so good for mindfulness practice and very therapeutic, I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Doodles #5

Coloured Kitzune

A few months ago I went through a bit of a mad marker faze, that being said, I don’t really know what my current art faze is. Although I feel like my art style has vastly improved since, I feel like these doodles were a changing point for me. I am not certain what the change was exactly to be honest. Anyway I hope you enjoy these doodles!  Continue reading “Doodles #5”

Week 14: Surprise

This week I have been insanely busy with work and I hurt my hand at some point, but I can’t remember how, so drawing kind of hurts.

I have been re-watching game of thrones in my spare time, so I decided to make this illustration linked to it. I have no patients for ink at the moment as all my paint brushes are almost falling to bit. I would go into more detail, but I have to go to work soon.

Week 11: Cat

I don’t know if anyone noticed, but I changed the theme for this week. It was originally ‘perspective’, but as I attempted to measure everything out in perspective and learn all about horizon lines and vanishing points, my art did what it normally does and took on its own form. As I finished it I got frustrated and decided to swap a few of my challenge themes for better ones. So Cat, as boring as some may think, is my theme for this week.

I used Indian ink for the whole thing, making different textures and different shapes. I’m actually really proud of this one and may mess around with it on Photoshop. Let me know what you think and if this is the type of thing I should do more often. Leave a like, share and follow me!
