Inktober 2018 Part 3

The rest of the paintings for Inktober 2018. I learned a lot during this challenge, but also found that I have much more to learn. I find working with ink to be so exciting, despite the mess I sometimes managed to make. I’m looking forward to doing it again next year.
This week I sent three of my inktober paintings to the Galway Art Centre for their open art exhibition. I am very excited to see how that turns out. I would also like to mention that I will be selling art at a stall at the Creeslough craft fair on Sunday the 25th of November. I’m hoping to sell some of my watercolour and ink paintings, digital prints, doodles and Christmas cards. For more information email me; inkyandthepen@gmail.com!

365 Days of Paint: 60-70

For March I am painting fluffy animals. It’s one of the things I enjoy painting. It’s fun, I love getting to look at cute animals and some of my instagram followers love it. It is easy to make mistakes, but easy to fix. I’ve been trying to use less pen, mainly doing everything with brush, except for the white gel pen, those are dangerously addictive.
I’m hoping to start selling a lot more on etsy and society 6 soon. I’ll be joining Behance and work on a portfolio there. I hope to start selling digital copies of my work on etsy. I think I’ll join a few more passive income sites like big cartel and printfull, once I’ve finished making the designs I’m currently working on.

Scroll through my work, let me know what you think! If you would like to purchase anything that looks like the artwork below, contact me.

365 Days of Paint: 21- 31

The pictures below are definitely in the wrong order, but that doesn’t really matter. I feel I have learned so much about lighting, shadows and colour by painting fruit and veg. I think I may make a few patterns out of them soon. I’ll have time to do soanyway since I’ve just moved to Cardiff, I’m currently unemployed and I don’t have wifi for another 10 days. I’ve now moved on to floral paintings for February. Enjoy!

365 Days of Paint: 11-20

Painting these every single day is so much fun, I’m learning so much and I can’t wait to see how my art looks by the end of the year! I have made time lapse videos of some of these paintings I will upload onto this site soon enough. Lately I am constantly listening to an audio book, it feels like a serious addiction. I can’t stop for too long, even now typing up this blog I keep thinking about ‘Stormlight Archives’ by Branden Sanderson. A bright side to this is I need to be doing something with my hands that doesn’t require too much thought while I listen to the books, so I always want to paint and make things.

Enjoy the paintings and follow me on instagram if you want to see images like these on a daily basis.
